Presentation of the English translation of The Youth Home of Istanbul, recounting Hrant Guzelian's search and rescue of Islamized Armenian youth and the orphanage he founded for them. (Hrant Dink, the Armenian journalist assassinated in Istanbul, was raised there.) Presented by the Joint Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North American and the Armenian Missionary Association of America.

In commemoration of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, Brand Library presents an afternoon of reflection on the past century of genocide crimes with personal narratives, live music, art, and refreshments. Carl Wilkens Fellow Tigranna Zakaryan hosts speakers from the Armenian, Jewish, Cambodian, Bosnian, and Rwandan communities as they share their experiences as genocide survivors, and their path to healing and reestablishing livelihoods in Los Angeles.
