May 27 Overscheduled for Glendale and La Crescenta 2

La Crescenta community members will be forced to divide their time among three events, all concerning their community, next Wedneday, May 27, 2009, in the evening:

The Crescenta Valley Community Association regular meeting, held the fourth Wednesday of the month, from 7-9 p.m. at the CV Sheriff Station, 4554 N. Briggs Ave., La Crescenta.

The SR-710 Tunnel Technical Study Glendale Community Meeting, held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Glendale Central Library Auditorium, 222 E. Harvard Street.

And finally, a Glendale Business Super Mixer Glendale Business Coordinating Council event advertised by the Montrose-Verdugo Chamber of Commerce and scheduled for Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites, 800 N. Central Ave. (Entrance fee: $15; Information: 818-248-4957).

No master calendar of events for Glendale exists. Organizations – send in event announcements as soon as they are firmly scheduled to mail@SunroomDesk.com so this website calendar will list as many as possible. Good luck to La Crescenta concerned community members next Wednesday!

We’re often double and triple booked up here, with Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council meetings and Crescenta Valley Town Council events in addition to all the Glendale activities. Thanks so much for helping publicize these important meetings.

Crescenta Valley Community Association is now meeting in the Community Room at Dunsmore Park, 4700 Dunsmore Ave. La Crescenta (we outgrew the Briggs Sheriff Station.) It’s still the fourth Wednesday starting at 7 pm.

There are a series of 710 Tunnel meetings and many of us will go to the La Canada-Flintridge one on Tuesday, May 26, starting at 6:30 pm. It is in the Lanterman Auditorium at 4491 Cornishon Ave., La Canada-Flintridge. See: http://www.710tunnelstudy.info/ for details on all the other community meetings.

I updated the post, after the fact. My apologies! I got the original information from the CV Community Association website.
