NBC Features Cell Phone Radiation Concerns;
Senate Hearing on Cell Phone Safety Confirmed

Yesterday Sunroom Desk posted two big cell phone concerns, and noted that only a few government bodies and watchdog groups around the country like Glendale Organized Against Cell Towers are focusing on these potential threats to public safety (misdirected 911 emergency calls) and health (cell phone radiation).

NBC Nightly News also picked up on the Environmental Working Group’s just released report on cell phone radiation with a video segment last night. If you didn’t link to the USA Today article mentioned in yesterday’s post, go to the MSNBC site to find the link where you can check your cell phone’s radiation levels, or directly to the Environmental Working Group webpage.

Confirmed: Senator Arlen Specter will hold a September 14 Senate hearing on The Health Effects of Cell Phone Use, in conjunction with the Expert Conference on Cell Phones and Health, September 13-15 in Washington, D.C.
