710 Report Looms w/ Rose Parade, Old Town Impacts – Shakeups at Caltrans & Metro – Garcetti at Occidental

The SR-710 Environmental Impact Report is scheduled for release; cities are mobilizing to fight a huge freeway/tunnel proposal. Pasadena Council member Steve Madison, and Joe from El Sereno raise alarms about the Rose Parade and impacts to Old Town Pasadena. Meanwhile, Caltrans is criticized for being highway-centric by an independent review commissioned by Governor Jerry Brown, and senior Metro leaders who are the public face of the SR-710 study are let go. Finally, a great interview with Eric Garcetti at Occidental College where he states, “The old way of navigating the city no longer works.”
