Pasadena City Council voted January 13 to join multi-city study of SR-710 EIR.

Pasadena City Council voted January 13 to join multi-city study of SR-710 EIR.

Those anticipating release of the SR-710 Study Environmental Impact Report will now have 90 days to submit comments instead of 60. At its regular meeting January 23, the LA County Metropolitan Transportation Agency Board of Directors passed Glendale City Council member Ara Najarian’s motion to extend the comment period for the study’s EIR, due to be released in Spring 2014.

On January 13, Pasadena City Council voted to join Glendale, South Pasadena, Sierra Madre and La Canada-Flintridge in a five-city alliance to analyze the forthcoming EIR. Each city is contributing $50,000 to the analysis. Glendale will focus on safety and security; La Canada- Flintridge on soils geology and seismology; Pasadena on legal issues and the California Environmental Quality Act; Sierra Madre on air quality; and South Pasadena on transportation.
