Little Free Libraries are coming soon to Verdugo Park, Montrose Park, Fremont Park and Glendale City Hall. A project of the Glendale Library Arts and Culture Department, funded by a grant, these outdoor mini-libraries will contain books available free for browsing and exchanging.
Installations in Glendale should begin in December and through the first part of the year.
The Friends of the Glendale Public Library will provide books donated by the community. The Friends will also be checking up on the stacks and restocking them periodically. If you would like to join the Friends and help manage one of the locations, contact info@fogpl.org.
For those looking for other libraries in the area, I’m hosting a grand opening for one in the Adams Hill neighborhood of Glendale on Sunday, August 9th 2015. You can visit our “branch” online too: http://lfl8424.boffosocko.com
