Are you the owner of a small business which has been in operation for at least two years, has revenues between $150K and $4M in the most recent fiscal year, and has a minimum of four employees? If so, you are eligible to receive competitive free placement in a business management course developed to help create jobs and economic growth.
Funded by a $500 million investment by the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Goldman Sachs, the program is set to reach 10,000 small business owners from around the U.S.
Locally, both Long Beach Community College and Los Angeles City College are offering the 10,000 Small Businesses curriculum. The course includes 11 full-day sessions, some out-of-class business building activities, and opportunities to compare notes with business owners in various industries (classes will be balanced to include multiple business sectors). Enrollment for each session is limited to 30-40 participants.
