As the Metro Board considered the status of LA County Measure R projects today, South Pasadena Transportation Manager Dennis Woods noted that the approved SCAG 2012 Regional Transportation Plan draft called for a study of transportation options for the SR-710 area. Woods emphasized the word ‘tunnel’ was inserted after the draft was approved, and appeared in the final plan without South Pasadena’s approval, concluding: “The City of South Pasadena is not in support of a future tunnel.”
