Summer at the Glendale Library Starts Today 1

Looking forward to summer reading…

IRL (In Real Life!):
at Glendale Library events like last night’s with Gustavo Arellano, who made the whole audience hungry talking about the history of Mexican food in the United States and his book Taco USA!

Online:
via the 3M Cloud Library which launched today at a special ceremony complete with complimentary Paradise Cookies and Ice Cream, courtesy of 3M. After a presentation by Glendale Mayor Frank Quintero, library staff were on hand to answer questions about how to set up the 3M Cloud app and check out virtual books from the Glendale/Pasadena collection of approximately 1200 titles, the only library system in California in the pilot program!

On the shelf:
where a stack of Glendale-related books sit waiting for blog reviews. Sunroom Desk will be featuring one or more each week, with a few news posts in between, from now through the end of summer.

Join The Friends of the Glendale Public Library, which support great talks like Arellano’s, feature great local authors (almost all the books awaiting Sunroom Desk reviews are from the Authors, Artists, and Friends series), fund the library’s Summer Reading Programs for children and adults, and more. If you weren’t there today to download books and join the Friends, visit soon and sign up!

Boy are you speedy. Great article and not a bad picture. Thanks as always for the publicity for the Friends. I hope we get some replies.
