Glendale needs an updated Bicycle Master Plan on the books to offer more active transportation options and to qualify for grants. The city needs a “Green” community plan to move the city toward a sustainable community strategy. Draft plans are up for council review tomorrow; they complement each other and deserve strong support via email, calls, or public comment at the council meetings.
The Bicycle Transportation Plan will be reviewed in a study session at 3 p.m.; the Greener Glendale Community Plan will be introduced as an ordinance at the 7 p.m. regular meeting.
