GRID Project Featured by The Transit Coalition

GRID, a proposal combining new zero-emission cargo transfer technology with an electrified light rail cargo line to the Inland Empire, is featured in the The Transit Coalition’s Moving Southern California May newsletter (see pages 4-5).

The Transit Coalition is a “grass roots all volunteer organization that advocates a balance of bus, subway, commuter rail, light rail, bike, airport access, goods movement, physically challenged access and automobile transportation to get Los Angeles Region moving again.” It holds monthly meetings with senior transportation officials and policymakers to give citizens opportunities to share ideas and learn about projects and plans.

The next Transit Coalition dinner meeting (location and RSVP instructions via this link) will be Tuesday, May 24, featuring Bruce Shelburne, MetroRail Service Development Manager.
