Fresh Baked Bread – Master Chef Shares Techniques at Glendale Library

I love fresh-baked bread, but limit myself to the occasional crust for homemade barbecued chicken pizza (which I make from scratch just to have a decent amount of chicken on the pie). I am not proficient in getting the temperature of the starter just right, kneading the proper amount of flour into the dough, and finding a perfectly warm place to let loaves rise.

Certified Master Baker Leslie Bilderback will be at the Glendale Library tonight at 7 p.m. to help bread-lovers like me boost their skills and draw family members to the dinner table. Bilderback is the author of The Everything Bread Book, and was on the faculty of the California School of Culinary Arts as Baking and Pastries Department Head. She has been profiled in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and Culinary Trends Magazine.

Come hear Bilderback on bread at this FREE Friends of the Library event. The library validates parking (stamp at checkout desk) at the Maryland parking garage across the street. More information is on the library’s event webpage.
