Homeowners disturbed by The Walt Disney Company’s child care center construction just formed the Grand Central Neighborhood Association. The group was inducted into the Glendale Homeowners Coordinating Council (GHCC) at the council’s meeting October 4.
Boundaries for the neighborhood are:
North – San Fernando Road
South – Interstate 5/Cosmic Way
East – Paula Street
West – Allen Avenue
Grand Central residents have complained to the city of Glendale about noise, dust, parking problems, and house settling and cracks which they attribute to the Disney construction project. A meeting with affected residents, Disney officials, and city staff is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. at the Environmental Management Office, 780 S. Flower St.
GHCC provides a valuable platform for dealing with a full range of civic concerns. With the addition of Grand Central, the council now represents 20 Glendale homeowners’ groups.
