The Fertilizer Con Men are back working our neighborhood. I found two teams, one in an older red pickup truck and the others in a white Toyota 4-door truck. I was able to contact police and the suspects were detained on Grandview near Mountain. The police officers demanded from the suspects that the homeowner be refunded a majority of his money!
The con men convinced a gentleman to fertilize his lawn, in August, for a cost of $7.00 per bag. The con is, they use extremely small bags and the cost jumps to over $700.00 to $1000.00 for a job that would normally cost about $150.00. They hide empty bags in their truck that they show when they count the bags..
They prey on the elderly and are fast talking smooth operators!
