Burbank Action States Residents’ Case for Cell Site Hearings: Planning Board OKs Zone Text Amendment

Members of Burbank Action compiled an extensive report citing Glendale’s and other communities’ strict standards for wireless permit applications, and presented it to their Planning Board at a hearing yesterday.

The board approved a Zone Text Amendment to require a CUP for all wireless facility applications. Burbank is also asking applicants to fill out a more detailed Supplemental Application Form.

Burbank Action posted this YouTube rebuttal to the Brace Canyon cell site applicant’s coverage gap claims.

The Planning Board hearing and discussions can be viewed on the city of Burbank’s video archive (scroll to item 2 on the agenda).

One Response to “ Burbank Action States Residents’ Case for Cell Site Hearings: Planning Board OKs Zone Text Amendment ”

  1. Thank you so much for keeping your readers informed of what’s happening here in Burbank. You and your fellow Glendale residents and City Council and city officials are great role models, showing us what can be done if we take action. Let’s hope that more residents, city officials and cities update their outdated wireless ordinances to protect and preserve our homes, schools and parks.
