May Bike Month: Encouraging Progress on
Safe and Healthy Streets in Glendale

The League of American Bicyclists emphasizes the “5 Es” in its programs, and Glendale’s Safe and Healthy Streets program is emphasizing two Es in May.

Director Colin Bogart stated at Tuesday’s city council meeting: “Bike month is an opportunity to celebrate the bicycle through education and encouragement. Joining this national effort, we have 14 activities planned in May, including documentary screenings, guest speakers, Bike to Work Day, and two history rides with the Glendale Historical Society.”
