Next Week in Glendale


The city of Glendale’s annual program on Man’s Inhumanity to Man begins this Sunday with a Blood Drive and a Symposium on the 95th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Monday night an Evening of Music and Poetry will be held at the Glendale Central Library. Wednesday, remembrance assembly “Nine Decades of Denial” will be produced at Glendale High School Auditorium by the Armenian clubs from Clark Magnet, Crescenta Valley, Glendale, and Hoover high schools.

Thursday, the event committee is introducing Modern Day Slavery as a new topic for the commemoration at the Glendale Central Library. Friday is the city’s official gathering at the Alex Theatre to commemorate the Armenian Genocide.

All events are free and open to the public. Friday’s event requires free tickets, which can be obtained starting April 19 from the Alex Theatre box office.
