Even musicians attended yesterday’s SCAG regional meeting on SB 375. After adjournment, I met two board members of the new California Pop and Jazz Council, which has organized performances for SCAG events.
A calendar of events and list of member entertainers are on its website. The council holds jam sessions Wednesdays from 9 p.m. at Giovanni Ristorante, Woodland Hills.
The two also represented the Black Regional Chamber of Commerce at the meeting, with others including Wallace Johnson (of Wallace Johnson Demolition), winner of the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award.
