Meet a Great Horned Owl Tomorrow at
Glendale Central Library

Glendale Central Library will host a live great horned owl at a free event featuring the Wildlife Waystation, it’s mission and history, tomorrow, October 17, at 2 p.m.

The event is part of The Big Read: Robinson Jeffers and the Ecologies of Poetry, a celebration of the 1905 Occidental graduate and California poet, and the natural environment from which he drew his inspiration.

Other area bookstores, museums, and organizations are hosting events associated with this celebration (a complete schedule is on Occidental’s website).

Book Talk, the Glendale Public Library’s excellent blog, announced the owl’s upcoming visit last week. If you didn’t mark it on your calendar, here’s another chance.
