Glendale Police Seeking Murder Suspect,
“Not Ruling Out Any Motive” 2


Another announcement from Glendale APB – Glendale police are currently “not ruling out any motive” in the slaying of Ara Terunyan yesterday in Central Glendale, and seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending the murderer:

On Wednesday July 22, 2009, Ara Terunyan, a 35 year old male resident of North Hollywood, was shot several times.

The shooting occurred in a parking lot to the rear of 318 W. Colorado in the City of Glendale. At approximately 11:08 a.m. the Glendale Police Department received numerous 911 calls of shots being fired. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a male victim seated in a black Lexus sport utility vehicle. The victim was struck several times by gunfire and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooter was described as a male African American. After the shooting the suspect fled the location by running south through the parking lot and entered the passenger door of a blue American made sedan. The driver of this vehicle was also described as a male African American.

The victim had accompanied his wife to an appointment at a medical office located at the address. While sitting in their vehicle the suspect appeared and began firing at the victim, striking him several times. His wife was left unharmed.

Detectives and Forensic Specialists of the Glendale Police Department were called to the scene and combed the area for evidence and witnesses.

Preliminarily, Detectives do not believe that this was a random act, however are not ruling out any motive and are cautious not to jump to any conclusion. Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance. Should anyone have information regarding the identities of the suspects, the suspected getaway-vehicle or any information that may assist the Detectives, they are requested to call the Homicide Detectives at 818-548-3987. This is the first homicide for the City of Glendale in 2009.

    Who ever this cruel heartless “animal” is needs to be tortured to death as he asked for no human being deserves to die this way and on top it all infront of his pregnang wife??? Does this son of a gun have a Mom?? a wife ??? a heart??? We want to be updated with every detail on this case!!!Glendale is a safe city and needs to stay safe….Thanx to all the hard working police officers that put their life on the line for us and we need to help them keeping the city the safest and the cleanest city!!!! At least that’s what we can give in return their hard work they are keeping us and our familys safe from cruel and selfish animals like this One particular animal and we need to appreciate them and what they do for us!!!!!
