Glendale’s Assembly Representative Paul Krekorian
Announces His Candidacy for LA City Council

California State 43rd District Assemblyman Paul Krekorian officially announced today he is in the race for the Second District seat of the Los Angeles City Council.

At a press conference in Valley Glen, Krekorian said, “Working together, with so many community activists and leaders of our neighborhood, we can change this city and make the Valley even better. Undoubtedly, we are going through a difficult period right now, but I’ve faced difficult problems and will use my years of experience to help the Valley once again achieve greatness.”

Krekorian has served in the Assembly since 2003 and prior to that was head of the Burbank Board of Education. His current assembly district overlaps much of Los Angeles’ second district.

Former 43rd district representative Dario Frommer speculated on Paul Krekorian’s candidacy and his possible successors in this California Majority Report post back in April.
