Glendale History Walk This Saturday, July 11

Join the Glendale Historical Society, the LA County Bicycle Coalition Safe and Healthy Streets program, and others working to make Glendale a more pedestrian-friendly city on a history walk this Saturday, July 11, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The walk begins at the Chess Park (across from the Alex Theatre) and will visit several historic areas in downtown Glendale. Park your bike on racks near the Chess Park along Brand Blvd., take the Glendale Bee Line or Metro Bus to a stop close by, or park free in the Orange Street garage – the history walk organizers have arranged for validated parking beyond the first free ninety minutes (bring your parking ticket to the walk for validation).

Visit the Safe and Healthy Streets webpage for more information, and RSVP in advance. Get out and walk!

An update on the Safe and Healthy Streets program will be presented at the Tuesday, July 14 Glendale City Council meeting.
