Winners of Disney ImagiNations Contest
Spend Summer Interning in Glendale

A team of New Jersey art education and engineering students won the 18th annual 2009 Disney ImagiNations contest, and will spend the summer in Glendale as Disney Imagineering interns. Sponsored by Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ), they were one of three finalist teams.

Teams design and pitch a new ride, attraction, hotel, or area within an existing Disney facility. This year more than 130 teams from around the world submitted entries for competition.

NJ.com describes how the New Jersey team came together and interviewed team member Elissa Hogan.

Second and third place winners were North Carolina State University’s “Mickey’s Quest To Magma Mountain,” a 3D ride with a circular seating arrangement, and California State University Fullerton’s “Operation SNAP: Destination Dragon,” a ride based on an absent-minded professor’s search for a legendary Chinese dragon.
