Glendale Water and Power’s Chromium 6 treatment program and facility was budgeted at $3.1 million. A $2.5 million California state grant for this project has since been rescinded, leaving a big budget hole. GWP is coordinating with Public Works on potential resources and revenue from a waste-to-energy facility and hopes to have something in place before 2014.
