Volunteers, Sponsors Sought for ‘National Night Out’
in Glendale August 4
The Glendale Police Department and a volunteer committee invite Glendale citizens and community groups to sponsor events throughout the city for ‘National Night Out’ on August 4, 2009. The event started as an inner-city drug awareness and crime prevention program 26 years ago; 34 million people now take part across the U.S.
The South Glendale Partnership is one of many groups planning an event; theirs will be held at the Pacific Park Community Center. They are seeking sponsors and volunteers for their event. Check out their flyer for information. Their next core group meeting will be at Acapulco Restaurant, Friday, June 5, 6:15 p.m.
