Who Conducted Mysterious Phone Survey on
Glendale Cell Tower Issue?

A Montrose resident reported that about two weeks ago, someone who called his office (on La Crescenta Avenue) asked him questions about the Glendale cell tower issue and current moratorium.

He recalled that he was asked:

Would installation of a cell tower in a residential area that doesn’t have good service be acceptable to him, if it could be hidden from view?

Does he have concerns about the potential health effects of cell towers?

And strangely: Did he know whether councilmembers Drayman and Friedman would support a ban on towers or would be willing to accept a compromise if towers were hidden from view?

He concluded that the ‘flavor of the questions’ was cooked up to elicit what residents would be willing to accept. The survey sponsor was not identified. Glendale Organized Against Cell Towers (GOACT) successfully urged the city council in January 2009 to enact a temporary moratorium on cell tower construction in Glendale in order to draft a protective ordinance for residential areas.

Has anyone else received such a survey?

  1. WARNING TO ALL

The Telecom’s never cease to surprise me with their dirty tricks. They have infinite resources of money, time and personnel to overtake any community. Glendale needs to stick together and make sure that your City Council will not “cell out” to the Telecom’s like they have in Pasadena, California.

On May 18, 2009 will be the Second Read of Pasadena’s new Telecom Ordinance. The City of Pasadena has now defined “Telecommunications” to include both Wireless and Cable into that definition. This new definition allows the Telecoms greater access to our Cities and our neighborhoods….Thanks City of Pasadena for screwing the Citizens and not doing their job to protect our property values. Anyway the citizens are the ones that pay our property taxes which pay for their salaries and extensive retirement benefits.

The devils are in the details. Now with the economic slump, Cities everywhere are looking for revenues and they are lured by the easy Telecom money. Citizens need to be aware of what will motivate our Cities to side with the Telecom industry.

  2. MORE WARNING: If you have not heard what is happening in Europe, Sweden and 9 of 13 of the European Union countries are Pulling out Antennas, WI-FI etc., from being in libraries, near or in schools, atop workplaces, apartment buildings or near homes, up to 1200 feet away! No wonder the birthrate is down: Miscarriages are common with such artifical radiation exposure. Breast cancer from Wi-Fi or other long term exposure (2-3 yrs.) is also very common. WI-Fi Max Citiwide causes massive heart attacks and strokes. Does ‘human life’ or the state’s responsibility to protect the ’safety, health and welfare’ of its citizens, dissappeared somewhere??? When will this State, forced by the Citizens of the Cities and Comunities in it, before we are permanently and foreve damaged as a genetic future (every female’s ova are affected, permanently!) going to Demand a massive Class Action Lawsuit for Negligence against the Cities and States for not Protecting our Health? Carl Hilliard, in Del Mar, who won twice against the industry, said, “the time is coming.” Contact him as you READ closely Amy Worthington’s article on our future: http://www.truthout.org/article/amy-worthington-the-radiation-poisoning-of-america. If this doesn’t help you understand the Dangers to all of us, and our progeny, if any, that will force you to WANT to DO something NOW, I don’t know what will..It is the best decription of what is happening now in San Diego..where putting in 5-7 antennas (omnidirectional) is ‘not publicly noticed’, next to homes and apartments in the most wealthy areas is considered ‘acceptable’ while the ‘applicants for the industry’ somehow avoid having any put near their own or government official’s homes! On top of the ‘entire western united state’s heaviest military radar transmissions’ and their ‘close-in airport’s transmissions’ our area is inundated. Anyone know a research facility NOT ‘paid-off’ or ‘funded by the industry’ as it appears ‘Sutton Health Care’ (in earlier research), our State Senate and House’s Health Insurance’s ‘pediatrict cancer center’ surely was?
