Special Glendale City Budget Meeting To Be Held Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 9:30 a.m.
A special 9:30 a.m. meeting of the Glendale City Council to consider and discuss the current budget, the forecast, and the 2009/2010 budget will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009.
Sunroom Desk has learned that one of the items up for consideration is an additional one percent cut in the Police Department and Fire Department budgets, on top of the five percent cuts already made. All community resource officer programs, including the staffing for Glendale district high schools, could be cut if an additional one percent is taken from the Police Department budget.
No information on possible budget cuts is available from the meeting notice.
