Funds Cut for Community Police Officers at Glendale Middle Schools
Local PTA groups just heard that Glendale eliminated funds for community police officers at all its school district middle schools. The decision was part of a five percent budget cutback for the Glendale Police Department. Another city budget meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, at 9:30 a.m. At that meeting, further cuts in community police staffing will be considered. Warning to high school parents: district high schools might be next.
